I’ve been away for the past two weeks! Holy jetlag, Batman…
I had our itinerary in my Traveler’s Notebook, and took some notes, but otherwise didn’t do much with it. But now that I’m back I’ve filled it out to the end of the notebook (28 July), and I’m pleased that it looks like I’m going to finish an insert! Analog is definitely the way for my day to day life, but digital still seems to be better for me to record fast thoughts or bigger, expansive ideas.
Speaking of, Moleskine Journey just rolled out a UI and feature redesign and… I don’t like it. The old version was great, just about the most perfect thing for me. *sigh* They say from feedback there will be more adjustments because I’m not the only unhappy customer, but I’m a bit disenchanted. At the moment I’m looking at exporting my content to and reintegrating Evernote as my digital solution (which I’ve used on and off for years for various things - like my travel packing list templates) and maybe DW as my journaling location (using private posts if it’s not something I want to tell the world).
But I’m also reminded, again, about the perils of relying on a third party app.
