I don't think I have posted anything here since the start of the year!

I mostly journal instead of plan - I have one book that contains my to do lists and experiments in how to plan weekly (a Hobonichi Weeks), and a Hobonichi A6 for journaling and decoration. I actually kind of want to size up again for next year:.. but an A5 is too big. I could swap to a B6 maybe, but then I would have to lose all of my pretty Hobonichi covers... so really, I should just cut down on decoration and keep using my A6, probably.

I am still trying to hold back my magpie tendencies to buy more stickers and washi tape. I do use them, but not as fast as I accrue them. The eternal struggle.

Hi hi! It's good to see you.

I mostly journal instead of planning as well.

I hear you re the hoard. For me it's notebooks. I have so many and yet I always want more. LOL

I still have an almost completely blank Midori MD that I bought... in 2022, I think? Maybe 2021? Either way, I just like making use of things - or else stuff just collects dust. And notebooks rly take concerted effort to use... thankfully I enjoy writing on paper!

I get given them as gifts so they multiply. Fortunately I need to take lots of notes for work.

So many magpie tendencies! The struggle is so real! And I really only use washi in like two places once a month! Oh, well.

I landed pretty hard in B6/B6 slim, and the cover situation is such a wasteland, especially if one does not do well with leather. (It's me; I do not do well with leather - too bulky and stiff.) A6 are so fun and so cute though. (And Hobonichi's covers are SO great!)

Yeah, I love the A6 sizing generally and I love the paper. I think there's some brand that does B6 Tomoe River...? But it's escaping me. I wish it were more common because it's like yes... more room to decorate, but also writing daily doesn't feel like some daunting task. I was impressed by how much I wrote when I was in an A5 though. And then there are people who keep journals in a B5...! HOW?

My last journal was almost A4! I loved it. LOL

I used to journal for pages and pages in A4 spiral notebooks. I doubt I'd want to do that now, and I'm kind of obsessed with the cute little books this year. I just ordered a B6 notebook with Tomoe River paper from Wonderland 222. A6 is a smidge small for me, but I am using one anyway. They're just fun!

I like to mix it up. :)

And fun means it's likely to be used!

Heeeee. I haven't really ever used a journal/notebook cover. But I am so tempted. I would like to hear more about why you don't like the leather ones. Do they stay stiff?

It really depends on leather of the cover. Some of them are really floppy. But I have issues about the cover causing bumps underneath the pages when I write, which has been more of an issue with the couple leather covers I've tried. I had pretty much given up on using covers, because they've annoyed me a lot this year. But I'm really enjoying the two canvas covers I got (one of which does have some leather on it but it's not too bumpy). And I just got a washed paper cover for the B6 notebook I'm trying. I'm excited to see what that's going to be like. It looks really pretty on Etsy.
