Re: Never settled
I'm still very tempted by the Writer's Medic Bag (and the Writing Box...), but since I work remotely and basically don't leave the house for days at a time, I'm like "where would I actually use it?" XD The portfolio works around the house, although to be honest I often just take the notebook and a pen if I'm out and about and sometimes not even that. I hate carrying a load of stuff with me. (Also see: why I can't cope with a multiple notebook system.)

Re: Never settled
I would probably not use the medic bag, but I got a gift card that covered part of the cost of the Writing Box and I did pick it up as a lap desk, I do really like it.
Re: Never settled
Did you buy directly from Galen or from a shop in the US?
Re: Never settled
I bought from them through Etsy because that's what I got the gift card for.

Re: Never settled
I forgot to mention that I really appreciate the actual use pictures and feedback, because I've looked at the portfolio for a while and I've wondered how it would work out in practical use. I've heard rumors of dye bleed on the leather, but it seems pretty solid.
