Oh no. I hate when the update makes the thing worse, not better.

I’m wondering if I should use digital for brainstorming and expansive thinking (IE, when I write something but then want to be able to add to it or edit it, etc.) and then print it out to keep in a physical binder when I feel it’s “finished.”

There’s always the risk of the notebook getting damaged, but it’s still generally in my control and I can keep a digital document backup in a well established file formal as well…

There's something about holding the physical copy in the hands that is very appealing to me.
