Let’s talk journals and planners!
Comment to tell us about what you've been up to with your journal, planner, or other stationery related items. Tell us about a new pen or a coveted notebook. Consult the hive mind with a problem you've been having. Post a picture! Whatever goes as long as it falls in the realm of journals and planners. Remember, you can always make your own top-level post, too!

Date: 2022-07-15 07:28 am (UTC)I had our itinerary in my Traveler’s Notebook, and took some notes, but otherwise didn’t do much with it. But now that I’m back I’ve filled it out to the end of the notebook (28 July), and I’m pleased that it looks like I’m going to finish an insert! Analog is definitely the way for my day to day life, but digital still seems to be better for me to record fast thoughts or bigger, expansive ideas.
Speaking of, Moleskine Journey just rolled out a UI and feature redesign and… I don’t like it. The old version was great, just about the most perfect thing for me. *sigh* They say from feedback there will be more adjustments because I’m not the only unhappy customer, but I’m a bit disenchanted. At the moment I’m looking at exporting my content to and reintegrating Evernote as my digital solution (which I’ve used on and off for years for various things - like my travel packing list templates) and maybe DW as my journaling location (using private posts if it’s not something I want to tell the world).
But I’m also reminded, again, about the perils of relying on a third party app.

Date: 2022-07-15 10:09 am (UTC)There’s always the risk of the notebook getting damaged, but it’s still generally in my control and I can keep a digital document backup in a well established file formal as well…

Date: 2022-07-21 08:33 pm (UTC)Anyway, I've been on vacation for most of the past two weeks, so I haven't been using my planner much. I'm getting back into it now, though, and I've missed it! During my vacation, I went to a cute little bookstore and bought a pack of adorable mini notecards that also came with envelopes and stickers to seal them, and I'm dying to write little notes to people now! They're too small to send by mail, but maybe I could still use them to write birthday/thinking-of-you/thankyou notes? I'm not entirely sure how I want to use them, but I was very excited about them and thought people over here might enjoy it too!
