I saw this post on tumblr and immediately thought of this community. What I love about the journal in the post is that she starts it with one intention, then it gets used very differently, and then it evolves into something else. The book measures changes in her and in her life over time. And it's also a tool that helped her to make it through tough times.

I wanted to share because I found that post very inspirational; it made me think about the purposes that journals serve, about how we mix media in order to make something meaningful, how personal and yet universal the act of journaling is.

I love this. I don't do anything so fancy, but I have a section of my journal for quotes I find applicable or inspirational in my life.

Looking at that post made me want to add some mixed media pages to my journal. My journal has pretty thin paper though, so it'd be difficult to write on it if there were uneven surface below, and then it hit me ( and I felt like a moron for not having the idea before >.< ). A cardstock piece the size of the page under the page I'm writing on. Problem solved. Yay, and off to taping concert tickets :)
