Got these brand spanking notebooks today! Where I live, this brand is pretty popular among students.

The pages insides are coloured and make doing homework a little less boring:

Anyone else prefer writing on off-white or coloured paper? It's easier on the eyes and basically the analog version of 'dark mode'.

Oh those are neat!

I generally like ivory a bit better than stark white and like yellow legal pads for note pads but it's not a strong preference. I just got a Rollbahn a couple weeks ago and the pages are VERY yellow, probably the yellowest they can look and still seem like a neutral color. It feels kind of retro.

Stark white is harsh on the eyes after a while. I imagine a retro notepad would have yellow pages with faint blue horizontal lines and a red vertical line for the margin, looking both fun yet fit for formal use simultaneously.

Hmm, here's more of an example.

A big part of it is that when I was a kid because of my parents jobs I remember being in a lot of like, machinists halls, church libraries etc with old notebooks and stuff that I assumed were from the 70s or 80s because they didn't look like the new ones I had, and this yellow-ivory color looks very familiar. I think I assumed the color was because the paper was old, and not because they were this color to begin with. I feel like in the 90 and early 00s readily available notebooks weren't stark white but they weren't ivory either, they were more cool-toned.

All the colours look great on that yellow-ivory papery, as seen on one of the pics in that blogpost. Even orange ink, which I didn't expect, since I classify it as being in the same colour category as yellow.

I don't prefer it but I do like it. Midori has some notebooks with colored paper that I really like.

The slightly yellow tinge for the paper of Midori notebooks does add a bit of a luxurious feeling.

These are cute! My bias between those two is the yellow. :3

Yes, I prefer cream because pure white is too… stark? Formal? Reminds me too much of school? But generally I like paper that skews warm.

My actual bias for this series of notebooks is actually pink, which I didn't get and am saving for when I have a really fun idea for the notebook's contents 😆

I adore colored paper. I have rainbow pages, navy blue, gray, and my current is lavender. It’s fun.

I used to own a notebook with sections of rainbow pages and got very mildly stressed over using up the sections with colours I prefer 😬

If it's purple, I'm already getting out my wallet. I have purple legal pads, some purple looseleaf, and purple post-its. XD

My fav is actually pink and now I'm imagining getting a full set of pink stationery. Pink post-its, pink looseleaf, pink notebook pages, all pink every day lol

It gets worse. XD I write on them all in purple pen. And I file things in purple folders. Or clip them together with purple paperclips. I really like purple. XDDDD
