Journaling with Laconic

Hi everyone! I got into physical journaling (and stickers!) pretty recently and am very excited to find this comm!

I like using my journal to document what I'm reading/watching and to log my language learning when I encounter new vocabulary, but I'm often too lazy to sit down and update it...

Here are some assorted pages from my journal (currently using a Laconic planner) so far! Images are mostly hotlinked from my Bluesky account because I'm lazy, so I hope they display fine!

We bought & started a journal on the 21st of September this year. The idea of a diary/journal/scrapbook enticed us for a while now, but we gave in & bought a small spiral notebook, a fountain pen and some stickers to decorate.

We've mostly used it to just, dot down thoughts we've had. Nothing expansive or anything, but we figured being able to see how we change over time could help our mental health. We're not sure how to decorate it further without regretting it, but the small start we have is fun so far. We can draw reasonably well, but we don't know how to doodle small yet.

We've also had an idea for making a scrapbook to hold pages of our blorbos (because... why not?). But we genuinely don't know how to start on that in a way that won't overwell us. Maybe we should focus on getting into journaling first before we do any bigger project(? we don't know at what point journaling differs from scrapbooks).
