This is the month that I get ready for next year with my planners.

  1. Work Planner - I have once again gone with my faithful EC Life Planner. I don't do as much stickers as some people do with these planners, but I was running out of the set that I bought in 2020, so I also got the monthly sticker book. I've already go this one set up and ready to go with events for work starting in July.

  2. Bullet Journal - I'm still using the Leuchtturm1917, but I'm planning something a bit different for the yearly/seasonal/monthly spreads. In the past, I've done monthly spreads vaguely connected to the month in question, and whatever I took a fancy to. For this upcoming year, I'm going to try to do one overall theme for all the spreads. I've seen some really lovely ones online, including Middle Earth, Beatles lyrics, and so on. My plan is to feature all the video games that I've spent a significant amount of time playing. I've whittled the list down to 12, and it includes not just console games, but the arcade games I started out on, like Ms. Pacman and Centipede. For the seasonal spreads, I'm going to feature one region of Hyrule from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Summer will feature a place in Gerudo, autumn in Akkala, winter in Hebra, and I haven't made a decision for spring.

  3. Moving Journal - I've decided to make a major change in my life and move across the country. However, I can't do that until several things not in my control fall into place, so it will probably happen summer of 2024. Also, there's a lot of moving (heh) parts that I have to account for. I purchased a composition book, a Decomposition book actually because it's the only one I could find that was college-ruled. This is not the time of year to try to find school supplies in North America. I'm using it for to-do lists, mind maps, gluing documents into it, goals, and timelines. I set it up with a table of contents and I'm numbering the pages. Finally, I got a set of Papermate Flairs just for this purpose, because I am extra like that.

That's were my planner situation is at the moment!

The Hyrule layouts sound amazing and I hope you'll share them!

I've think for a big, long-term project like your move, a moving journal seems like a great idea but not something that would ever occur to me. Good luck with the move!

May is an interesting start to the planner season! It seems like there's always room to begin. I like it. I absolutely love your game theme! And I definitely recommend a dedicated moving journal; I did one of those last time I moved and it was great. You need a landing place for all those moving parts (you punny person you). (And are new pens ever really extra? I just think of them as self care! LOL)
