Journaling with Laconic

Hi everyone! I got into physical journaling (and stickers!) pretty recently and am very excited to find this comm!

I like using my journal to document what I'm reading/watching and to log my language learning when I encounter new vocabulary, but I'm often too lazy to sit down and update it...

Here are some assorted pages from my journal (currently using a Laconic planner) so far! Images are mostly hotlinked from my Bluesky account because I'm lazy, so I hope they display fine!

Thanks for sharing! The little doodles paired with Japanese vocab are so cute and reminiscent of public domain Japanese clipart floating around.

Also I watched 'Bad Genius' too and still on and off think about the Lynn-Grace relationship, pondering if the two could patch up their friendship somehow post-movie. Agree too about the moralizing last 10-13 mins but don't have any better ideas for concluding the movie.

I am low-key shocked because I didn't think anyone would actually read my little blurbs LOL. I love the note of bittersweetness in what was once a more innocent friendship—in my mind Grace thinks about Lynn a lot, post-movie, while Lynn grows and learns to form genuine relationships outside of school.

(PS. Not that this is a big deal since Chinese and Japanese share a lot of vocabulary in the written form, but I was learning Chinese hehe)
